About Dorm Room: What it holds, at what prices, and what to check before you buy

Before you buy

Most US college dorms use Twin XL beds (38×80 in), which are five inches longer than a standard twin, so regular twin sheets will not fit. Many housing offices ban candles, halogen lamps, space heaters and hot plates; check your school's prohibited items list before you order.

Every find here was picked by HaulPlay: something we would buy, with a photo of it in use when we have one and the store’s photo of the exact product beside it. The price is read from the store every day and shown with the time it was read.

Most of its finds carry: Desk Setup, Lighting, Small Space, Bedroom Decor, Gifts for Teens, Gifts for 17-Year-Olds, Gifts for College Students, Gifts for Gamers.
